Tools for cylinder liners
For the machining of cylinder liners differentiation is made between dry or wet liners. Dry liners usually have thinner walls and have to be clamped in a stable holding fixture.
Wet liners are characterised by thicker walls and can be held using a special pneumatic clamping fixture. Cylinder liner honing has to meet high requirements in respect of bore straightness, roundness and cylindricity. Exchange parts can be used to cover a number of diameters with one tool body.
Special versions:
- Pneumatic in-process measuring via nozzles integrated in the tool
- Integrated double expansion
- Diameter range: 100 – 200 mm
- Application examples: cylinder liners
